As an Energy Analyst, you will independently produce timely, relevant all-source analysis on water/energy infrastructure, resources, and economic impact on regional and global stability for countries in the CENTCOM AOR. Conduct analysis of foreign oil, natural gas, nuclear, solar, wind, and other forms of energy production and distribution systems to determine physical characteristics, capacity, and vulnerabilities.  Conduct analysis of foreign electric power systems to include, but not limited to, generation, distribution, related control systems, usage, physical characteristics, capacity, and vulnerabilities. Using DNI/DIA analytic tradecraft standards, provide anticipatory analysis, actionable intelligence, joint intelligence preparation of the operating environment, situational awareness, and capability assessments within the CENTCOM AOR to CDRUSCENTCOM and staff to support achievement of USCENTCOM objectives. Initiate collaborative production/support to plans & operations efforts as appropriate. Network with IC counterparts & stakeholders to ensure effective external coordination & collaboration on production; communicate with relevant CENTCOM Divisions/Directorates to ensure internal synchronization. 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI clearance required. 

  • Specialized training and a Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.  

  • An in-depth understanding of the intelligence cycle. 

  • Experience with ODNI’s analytic tradecraft guidance and experience writing to Intelligence Community Directives (ICD’s), specifically ICDs 203, 205, 206, and 208. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction. 

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate as part of an analytical team, collaborate, and conduct coordination with national-level IC partners. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior military and civilian government officials, managers, and co-workers. 

  • Experience using the following tools: NGT, TAC, RMT, CRATE and CHROME.
